As part of a global company network of more than 100 facilities, MWV operates five paperboard converting plants across central and eastern Europe that service the tobacco industry. Our converting plants deliver quality, innovation and speed-to-market in an increasingly complex and regulatory environment. We combine design and production excellence with a deep understanding of health-warning regulations and country-by-country market requirements.

Consistent Quality for Multiple Materials

From the way we source raw materials, to paperboard manufacturing, to converting and finishing, we conduct sensory and analytical tests during the entire production process – to ensure our packages meet the tobacco industry’s need for high-speed runnability and strict requirements for quality and regulatory conformity.

Through leveraging our cross-platform facilities elsewhere in the world and outsourcing capabilities, MWV also manages tobacco packaging that requires the conversion of non-paperboard substrates.  Whether the package requires plastics, films, metals, multi-substrate and bio-based materials, MWV can manage it – making us a complete packaging provider to the industry.

MWV Graz, Austria
Our Graz facility centrally coordinates the package manufacturing sites in Bydgoszcz, Svitavy, Krakow and Moscow and includes these capabilities:

• Rotogravure with UV upgrade and sheetfed offset presses
• Rotogravure cylinder production
• Foil stamping, window gluing, and bundling
• Die-cutting production in-house

MWV Svitavy, Czech Republic
Our plant in Svitavy serves as our second largest facility in Europe and offers these capabilities:
