Base/Soil Stabilization

Our INDULIN asphalt emulsions mix with unclassified, crushed materials, natural gravel, soils and sands – in place – to create a base with improved bearing capacity and greater water resistance.

About Base / Soil Stabilization

Base or soil stabilization uses existing bases prepared by breaking up the material into small pieces of desired size. If virgin aggregate is needed to improve the properties of the base, it is spread across the base or placed in windrows. The emulsion is sprayed onto the base material and then mixed. Mixing continues until proper coating is achieved.

Next, the base is compacted and creating a base with improved bearing capacity and greater water resistance. After complete curing a protective surface treatment is applied over the base.
