The Red Tag™ locking media case is a simple, cost-effective way to protect discs displayed on rental and retail store shelves. Red Tag, the industry standard packaging for DVD, Blu-Ray™ HD and game media and music CDs, eliminates the need to store a disc separately from its case, and is easy for store staff to use and unlock at checkout.

DVDs, Blu-ray™ high definition video discs, and video games are one of the most popular consumer categories for purchase, and unfortunately, theft. Until now, it's been challenging to find cost-effective user-friendly solutions to secure valuable media. Red Tag™, a worldwide industry standard on rental and retail shelves, offers reliable, convenient media security.

Reliable Security
Red Tag can help reduce theft and inventory loss, increase sales, and allows retailers and rental stores to confidently display their products safely in their original packaging with Red Tag.

Red Tag cases use a reusable nylon tag that is embedded with an EAS (electronic article surveillance) chip. Once the Red Tag is inserted into the case, the media is secure. The EAS chip is activated, and sounds an alarm when removed from the store, and eliminates the need for plastic safers and security stickers. Red Tag securely holds the disc inside the case, holds an EAS security tag in the case, and securely holds the case shut.

Blu-ray Compatible
Red Tag Blu-ray high definition video cases are premium security packaging for a premium product. Our Red Tag Blu-ray case is the only high definition case with the Red Tag system.

Retailers and rental stores can display Blu-ray media in its original premium packaging and not hidden behind cabinets or checkout registers.

How Red Tag™ Works.

The Red Tag™ is a plastic tag that contains a spring locking mechanism and a dual resonance soft tag. The tag is manually inserted into Red Tag-compatible cases produced for use with Red Tag. Red Tag is compatible with AM, EM and RF electronic EAS systems.

Inserting Red Tags is Simple.

Tags are inserted through the square opening on the right side of the media case. Once inserted, the tag and disc are securely locked in the case. Red Tag can be pushed through the cellophane wrapping of the case, so there is no need to unwrap the case.

It's Easy for Stores to Remove Red Tag from Purchased Media.



It's quick and easy for store personnel to remove the Red Tag from rental or purchased media. Store associates simply insert the case into the mounted detagger and pull the case back, and the Red Tag releases from the case, allowing the consumer to open the case.

It's Easy to Reuse Red Tag.

Red Tags are durable and reusable. After the EM and RF Red Tags are removed at the point of sale, they can be properly stored or re-used in Red Tag cases. Store associates can easily reactivate the AM Red Tag by dropping it in the reactivator. EM and RF Red Tags do not require reactivation.

Red Tag™ Blu-ray™ high definition, DVD, game and CD and music cases come in a variety of standard or custom colors or special effects. We offer eight standard colors, as shown here, and custom colors. Whether you need millions or a few thousand, we can accommodate your needs.

Looking for a custom color or special effect? For larger orders, Red Tag cases are available in any PMS color, including translucent, opaque and clear tinted. Special effects are also available.
