Natralock® security packaging combines a theft- and tear-resistant laminated paperboard with a sealed clear bubble of an APET or RPET thermoform. The resulting packaging is nearly impossible to tear apart by hand, helping retailers reduce theft, yet safe and easy for consumers to open with a pair of household scissors.

Durability
Natralock is durable, with a thermoform bubble that protects the product inside. Additionally, the coated paperboard used for Natralock is difficult to tear or rip by hand.

Visibility
With glare-free paperboard that serves as a large, two-sided graphic billboard, Natralock security packaging allows for special printing effects and outstanding graphics for high-impact branding.

Environmentally-Friendly and Sustainable Packaging
Natralock sustainable packaging helps manufacturers and retailers reduce waste and satisfy sustainability goals — and outperforms clamshells on packaging scorecard measures. When compared to clamshells, Natralock security packaging requires fewer raw materials and chemicals and less energy to produce. Natralock's paperboard can include up to 50 percent recycled content and can be curbside recycled.

Production Savings
Natralock is lighter than petroleum-based packaging, which can reduce warehousing and transportation costs. By relying less on PET and PVC plastic resins, Natralock achieves dependable price stability. Natralock security packaging can help increase production rates and efficiencies, sealing up to 20-30 percent faster. And Natralock can use existing thermoform machinery, requiring little additional cost to switch from clamshells.

Safety
Natralock security packaging is safe and easy for consumers to open with a simple pair of household scissors. Unlike plastic, when the Natralock paperboard is cut, it leaves a safe, smooth edge.

Specifications

• Natralock security packaging uses tamper- and tear-resistant solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard or unbleached Coated Natural Kraft® (CNK®).
