Chilled Food Packaging

Popular throughout Europe and gaining momentum around the world, the chilled ready meal is known as a fresh alternative to processed or frozen foods. Traditionally, chilled meals have been offered in trays of CPET plastic or aluminium, sealed with film then labeled or put into a paperboard sleeve.

Custom Kote® Paperboard for Chilled Food

Custom Kote® is a high-performing coated natural kraft (CNK) paperboard. The coated side provides an excellent surface on which to create shopper stopping graphics. The unbleached, uncoated side delivers consumers a clean, all natural perception, and realistic graphics. In between the two surfaces are tough, hard-working natural and recycled fibers engineered for outstanding performance in stressful environments throughout the supply chain, such as freeze-thaw cycles.
