Our Imperative

Because our business depends on and directly impacts the world’s natural resources, sustainability is not only an essential business strategy for MWV, it is an ethical imperative. 

From co-generation of electricity and steam to voluntary commitments to lower carbon dioxide emissions, MWV is working on many levels to reduce harmful greenhouse gases and shrink our carbon footprint. We also manage 1.8 million acres of forestland to meet human needs while preserving the environment.

Sustainable Packaging Solutions

MWV champions sustainable business practices through the life cycle of our products — from the materials we purchase to produce our packaging solutions, to how we design and manufacture our finished products. We create value for shareholders by developing sustainable packaging to meet our customers’ desire for environmental accountability.

Our Natralock® Security Packaging, for example, is a cleverly designed security package for electronics, cosmetics, toys and media using 50 to 60 percent less plastic than a PVC clamshell.
