About the Position
The Packaging/Industrial Design Co-Op/Intern is expected to explore and expand their talents and skills in relation to the complete development of the packaging produced by MWV from conceptual brainstorming to production dynamics.
- Design and create packaging prototypes
- Participate in ideation and design sessions
- Use multiple substrates
Requirements
MWV is looking for students who are pursuing degrees in fine arts, graphic design, industrial design, packaging science or packaging engineering.
Students must posess strong visualization and prototyping skills, strong conceptual skills and the ability to think in 3D. In addition, students must have excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills, be self-motivated yet able to work under the direction of others, be comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams, willing to tackle small tasks, and willing to be a part of more creative projects.
Knowledge of current packaging trends and a basic understanding of materials and manufacturing methods is necessary. Software experience should include Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Ardios-CAD, Auto-CAD, SolidWorks, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Eager.
