MWV Careers: Engineering Internships and Co-ops

MWV actively recruits engineering students for summer internship and co-op opportunities to work in our manufacturing facilities and with our Specialty Chemicals division. 

You'll gain real world, hands-on experience while working closely with our senior engineers. There will be new challenges everyday that will expand your skill-sets and allow you to see concepts learned in the classroom firsthand.


Typical Assignments

  • Troubleshoot production systems issues and make process improvements to enhance productivity, quality and product yield
  • Manage projects to design, install and start-up new equipment and processes
  • Analyze process data and ensure equipment reliability
  • Create tools to manage production
  • Schedule maintenance work
  • Work with multiple SAP and Quality systems
  • Initiate and lead cost reduction efforts

Requirements

Students should have a minimum of two years of college pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field. Students should also have minimum GPA of 3.0 in their major as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, a hands-on attitude and solid computer skills (Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint with AutoCAD experience a plus).
