Features and Benefits

Unique Locking Bottom DesignOur BasketWrap® beverage packaging carton design is unique, with a bottom locked basket construction that allows the carton to be placed over the bottle or can rather than being dropped into the basket. The BasketWrap basket design creates a premium image with consumers.

The BasketWrap carton has a convenient and sturdy carry handle that can be designed to pop up. BasketWrap cartons use less board than what was used in previous MWV carton designs, for cost savings for customers.                         

Carefully-Chosen Materials: Carrier Kote®For BasketWrap cartons, we use our Carrier Kote® Coated Natural Kraft® paperboard, which stays strong even when wet, reducing the chance that the carton could break. This strength is critical for beer multi-packs that are transported to and from cold, wet environments.

Carrier Kote is a thinner caliper but because of its strength, has characteristics similar to higher-caliper competitive paperboards. Lower calipers mean a lower paperboard weight and higher yield, reducing manufacturer costs. Carrier Kote also offers excellent offset print quality for visibly sharper, clearer on-pack graphics that you can see and compare on the store shelf.

Machinery and Systems

We build and lease machinery and systems that run basket style cartons, and can customize machinery for low speed, semi-automatic to high speed, fully automatic to meet your needs. Our machinery for basket style cartons include Basketwrap® 200, BasketWrap® 250, and Handiman™.

 

 

Machinery for Basket Style Cartons

Basket style systems run MWV locked bottom basket cartons and wrap-style cartons for glass and plastic bottles and cans. These modular systems feature electronic engineering for flexible, efficient changeovers for multiple configurations.

Our BasketWrap systems provide flexibility to run both BasketWrap cartons and ClusterPak wrap style cartons on the same machine. The BasketWrap system provides quick changeovers and high efficiencies at production speeds.
