MWV requires all of its suppliers to comply with the applicable laws, legal requirements and regulations of the countries where they do business, without the use of forced labor or child labor. MWV has established a comprehensive set of standards for suppliers called the MWV Principles of Conduct (.PDF). The Principles are our global sourcing guidelines, and the foundation of our supplier approval process, which includes review and verification of the relevant information we ask from our suppliers. Audits of supplier sites may be conducted by our contracted third party audit firms to ascertain to compliance. The Director of Supply Chain Compliance is responsible for the MWV corporate social responsibility program..

Supplier Diversity

Our Supplier Diversity Initiative focuses on the identification and development of diverse suppliers as sources for the purchase of goods and services. It is our belief that diverse suppliers provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Employees involved in the selection, evaluation and approval of vendors, contractors and consultants have primary responsibility for effectively implementing our supplier diversity strategy.
